Tips for Making the Most of It
Stuff that isn't obvious from reading the rules.
1
Book Enchanted Forest early. It's Mon–Thu only and expires August 27 -the window is smaller than it looks. If you miss it, it's gone for the season.
2
The YMCA pool window is tiny. Mon–Fri only, 1–3:30pm. Plan accordingly. The upside: it's free for you to sit and watch.
3
KROC is free if you just wait. Dropping your kid off and staying in the lobby costs you nothing. It's only $16/adult if you want to enter beyond the lobby — so you can skip the cost entirely if your child is old enough to go in solo.
4
Chick-fil-A works dine-in and drive-through. No delivery. Salem and Keizer both count.
5
Gilbert House has a strict ratio. Maximum 1 adult per 4 kids, and every child must have their own pass -you can't share. If you're bringing a group, do the math before you go.
6
Call ahead on venues marked "confirm." The pass covers your kid -but whether you can get in with them, and what you'll pay, varies. A quick call before your first visit saves a wasted trip.
7
Don't wait on the State Fair. It's one admission total, August 28–September 7. That's 10 days. Put it on the calendar now so it doesn't slip by.
